I'll dominate 'credible combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be shown live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the combatants came face-to-face to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former twice unified title holder Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Fighter's Mindset
"I will injure his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to genuinely try to injure him. That's my intention."
Civil Interaction
In spite of those words, a calm Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally famous for his dramatics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul rather targeted former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Paul's History
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
However, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's largest money-making draws, regularly earning substantial financial rewards.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would stop the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.
"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

As both boxers engaged in the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity evident, it emphasized just how improbable this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the fight is really going ahead.
